About Kelvin
I don’t want to bore you with my life history and I will keep it short and sweet, hopefully my images speak for themselves.
I was terrible at school and college, in fact I used to hate going. All I wanted to do was paint, be an artist - it was the only thing I enjoyed.
I went to art college but left soon into the year as I was asked to write essays about other artists - what for I thought; what has it got to do with me as an artist? The lecturer said “What do you want from the course?” I replied “I want to paint and be an artist”. He said “Sod off and paint and be an artist”. I take that as a pass with distinction.
I have found out just recently that I’m dyslexic which explains a great deal.
I have been caring for my sons who are disabled with my wife since 1986 and have been painting and image making ever since.
I have exhibited amongst others at the following galleries:
- Lime gallery (Manchester)
- Beatrix Royal gallery (Southampton)
- Maddox St, Mayfair (London)
I’m currently working on getting my art to America and the South of France.
